But Where's Her Ring At Though?: Chronicles Of A Wedding Planner

Throughout my engagement, in taking photos and receiving congratulatory wishes, a few have asked me and I'm sure more have thought to themselves, "She's engaged but where's her ring?". I laughed on the inside when I caught the under cover stares at my hand while asking, "How did he propose?"

The engagement ring is something ladies dream of. The indictor that she is off the market and has been promoted, elevated, upgraded and in position to be a wife. So where was mine at? It's not some complicated explanation. The Mr. was taking his time to find the perfect ring to convey what I mean to him. This is something that I had no issue with while planning our big day. What is more important to me is the marriage itself. A woman can have the most bling ring in the galaxy but if her marriage isn't solid, that gem will become dull in her eyes quickly. My excitement comes from the reality of spending my life with a man that has given his heart to me, encourages me to become the best version of myself and is my teammate through it all until our very last breath. The ring just adds a little extra sugar to our already sweet love.

I'm not much of a diamond girl. As much as diamonds are sought after, because there are so much of them, after the diamond leaves the jewelry store, it's not worth very much. I learned that after selling a few diamonds I owned. I remember the jeweler telling me gold is worth much more than the sparkly stone. Since then I didn't see the point of spending so much when I could wear gemstones I gravitated towards more.

So when my love asked me to describe the perfect ring a few years ago I excitingly pulled out a photo gallery on my phone with a plethora of rings (women are always prepared in advance lol). Each ring though different shape and size had the same thing in common, pink morganite on a rose gold setting. From there The Mr. took the reigns and his search began. He did his research, visited a few places and saved photos of rings he liked but nothing spoke to his heart. Until he discovered a custom jeweler residing in Singapore. This jeweler had  so many unique designed rings but one ring stood out the most. This ring reminded him of a crown. A crown for his queen. He made his choice, worked with the jeweler, placed his order, and waited. He waited until the day he decided it was the perfect time to crown my finger with the most beautiful morganite and rose gold tiara style ring I've ever seen. A ring perfect for me.

When I stare at it on my hand I think of how he took the time to study me. How much time he takes daily to understand me. To the point that he can choose for me and know I would love it. His attention to the details of my heart and mind are incredible and I am so proud to wear the representation of our upcoming union.

Cheers!

Say Yes To The Tux?: Chronicles Of A Wedding Planner

When most think of weddings the bride is always first to come to mind. What will she be wearing, who's doing her makeup, what designer shoes will be gracing the aisle. But what about the groom? For our wedding the Mr. has also been in the forefront. Being that he is in the professional visual art industry, him going over color palettes, floor plans, lighting and not missing any detail is second nature.  As nothing goes unnoticed with him, I am not surprised that the perfect tux was finally found overseas.

Some time ago I asked him what does he envision wearing on his big day. He thought about it for a few minutes and then began to give me a few examples of styles he gravitates towards. We did an online search, sent a few emails, made a few calls and even visited a few places but nothing compared to what he was looking for. I sat down for months researching until I discovered a vendor in Europe which matched his style completely. The different tux styles they offered wasn't anything I could find here in the states. After showing my fiancé my amazing find, with his approval I began brainstorming a way to get his tux to our doorstep. You see the challenge was the vendor did not understand nor speak English. I had to message them in their language in order to receive a reply (a reply which I had to translate. So thankful for the internet's translation tools).

After communicating with them it turned out they do not even ship outside of their country. For about 1 minute I felt slightly discouraged but as I am determined to make all my clients happy (especially my husband to be), and do not take no for an answer, I had the idea to reach out to a host in their country who would be able to purchase the tux there and ship it to me. Now the challenge was to find a host living in that country that would be willing to provide this service. After about a week of researching I finally found a company that introduced me to pleasant young man willing to take on the task. I provided the tux link to them and within a week my love's wedding attire was delivered.

We are so happy and pleased with the quality of their collection, I have decided to work with the vendor and make their collection available exclusively to my clients.

This tux hunting experience has re-affirmed my love for the challenge of satisfying the requests of my clients. If you can envision it, I will find a way to make it happen. If you're looking for a planner for your upcoming wedding, you know who to call.

Cheers!
